NARNIA BOOKS

The Chronicles of Narnia, written by C.S. Lewis, has captivated the imaginations of children and adults for years.

The seven-book series begins with The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. This book introduces the four Pevensie children and their excursion into the world of Narnia. Along the way, the children meet the White Witch, many interesting creatures and eventually, Aslan, the ruler of Narnia.

The series continues with Prince Caspian, which (along with Wardrobe) has just been made into a feature film. In this tale, the children get back to Narnia, although they are in for a surprise, as they find things different then when they left.

Voyage of the Dawn Treader takes the reader on a journey over the sea, and introduces some new characters from the land of Narnia. This may be the most exciting Narnia Book from an adventuring point of view.

The fourth book in the series is titled The Silver Chair. In this harrowing tale, a couple of school children find their way into Narnia, and venture deep under the earth to save Narnia. The Silver Chair, along with the first three books, was made into a BBC movie series.

In A Horse and His Boy, Aslan brings together two very different youngsters for an adventure across the lands adjacent to Narnia. Some Narnia enthusiasts consider this their favorite Narnia Book.

The Magician's Nephew is actually the first book chronogically in the series, taking place before The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. This is defintely the strangest of the Narnia Books, with the main characters visiting other worlds via gloomy rifts.

The Narnia series concludes with The Last Battle, which ties all of the other books together, and puts a fitting conclusion to the adventures of the Pevensies, and the other characters which come into the various books.
